![]() I spray poo before I plough or cultivate, unless I use the Zunhammer slurry cultivator. (the real Marshall (DLC) rear manure spreaders flow rate is listed at "maximum 9 minutes", but it took me considerably less to empty it in-game). I do the same with manure and slurry, I have more than halved their flow-rates as they were, frankly, ridiculous. I don't like that my combine harvester has to be emptied every 2 minutes, it also takes away incentive (for me) to purchase new fields when I can get 50k litres from smallish fields. I use MR Light to adjust harvest yield and flow rates on fertilizer and manure/slurry to bring their values a bit closer to reality. It might depend on your play style, I can only comment on my own: As I've posted only for field 23 I need 30k litres of slurry. Aaand you need ALOT of slurry to start with. SoilMod for FS13 added that aspect to the game (I don't understand why Giants added forestry instead of expanding the farming simulation aspect, but that's for another day) Oh and imho best method would be fertilizer since it has wide spreading and it's small so even hired workres have no problem using it. It's important to keep in mind that since the latest patch, workers will now use the manure you have in your vehicle and when they run out they'll keep working they will deduce the price of the resource from your money.Ī part of the poo problem is that the simulation lacks any element of soil/crop care. Can be useful for small fields or in case I run out of manure. Doesnt mather what sort you thing to your field. You might as well use it since it's free. There are no difference at all between fertilizer sprayer / sprayer. On the other hand, if you want more than 50 cows in order to make money with milk and you've got enough hay and straw to feed them to 100%, the liquid manure and manure will just be laying there for the taking. Once you have the Manure, you may sell it to shops or use it as Fertilizer on your Meadow or Crops to increase the quality of the crop / grass produced. You need to constantly watch your workers to make sure they don't run out of manure and you need to have enough cows so you don't run out of manure when you're spraying. To collect accumulated Manure, attach a Fertilizer Spreader (like the Bergmann M 1080 or the Gilibert Helios 15) to your Tractor and then drive to the Manure dump right near your cow shed. So what I found out is that if your cow operation isn't very big it's not worth spraying manure and you're better off with fertilizer. Not only that but just like you said it runs out pretty quickly. You have to have interim tanks, a tank trailer for filling your interim tanks and enough cows to produce enough liquid manure to cover all your fields. ![]() You conveniently don't have to pay for it. ![]() Liquid manure is the byproduct of having cows for dairy.
